For many years I always believed that a coincidence was simply that, a coincidence. And I know for a fact that millions of people are still of that opinion. However over recent years through the process of change I have learned to think about why I believe something to be true or not, rather than just accepting what 99% of the time is what the society I was brought up in has told me what is true and what isn’t. Coincidences are just one of those many things that once given some thought can’t just keep happening, something must be behind them, making them happen.
I’m not going to go into the whole system of creating, the ability to make things happen or sending thoughts out to the Universe; although I strongly believe know these things to be true as a teacher of them I am as yet just a novice. But on the subject of coincidences let me share with you something that happened to me today, nothing big, just something that got my thought processes going again (it’s often the smallest things that happen that have the biggest teachings connected to them, but which we so often miss).
Last night I was reading one of the books in the ‘Ringing Cedars’ series and there was mention of the biggest, most powerful book of knowledge ever written, a book that everyone has access to (I will not go into any great detail so as not to spoil the books for those of you yet to read them) and it later explains what this book truly is …. a book of Nature, where the answers to everyone’s questions are freely available.
If I were to describe this series of books very simply (almost impossible) I would have to say that they are sequence of Questions and Answers on many of the so called ‘meaning of life’ questions we all ask from time to time. But the answers are not given on the page, they are given in the emotions that you pick up from reading them, creating a thought process so that when the answers comes it is your own answer … the result of your own thought processes. Anyway as usual I am rambling, let’s get back to ‘coincidences’ shall we; this great, all knowing book of nature got my thought processes going but I couldn’t fathom it out, I had some thoughts of course but no ‘eureka’ moment happened.
Today I was sorting through some old books, for no reason at all, I was just going through them when I came across an old gardening book I probably hadn’t looked at in over two years or more. It’s called ‘The English Flower Garden’ by W. Robinson and is the seventh edition, printed back in May 1899 and rather than getting on with what I was supposed to be doing (obviously something I didn’t fancy doing otherwise I wouldn’t have been sorting out my books for no reason – spooky!) I made myself a cup of coffee and settled down to take a closer look at this book I had just rediscovered.
I flicked through the pages and on the first page that opened was a piece of verse by Douglas Jerrold which I have reproduced here ….
“A garden is a beautiful book, writ by the finger of God; every flower leaf is a letter. You have only to learn them – and he is a poo-dunce that cannot, if he will, do that – to learn them and join them, and then to go on reading and reading. And you will find yourself carried away from the earth by the beautiful story you are going through ….. And then there are some flowers that seem to me like over-dutiful children; tend them but ever so little and they come up and flourish, and show, as I may say, their bright and happy faces to you.”
Now, don’t tell me that was a coincidence and not a natural thought process in action!!

Through the continuous flow of energy I come across your words and after two days of immersion I wish to return the spirit received by sharing my thoughts. Like you I try to hold no consequence in my actions. Yet, here is my understanding as to why it exists. Saying something is a consequence gives the beholder of this experience an ‘out’, a way to deal with the uncanny event without engaging the mind.
Thank you for not spoiling the Ringing Cedars series, from your description I am intrigued and will seek them out. And thank you for being open with your words. I feel freer as a spirit because we touch the same earth.
